dc.description.abstractLead Magnesium Niobate-Lead Titanate (PMN-PT) is a piezo electric material which exhibit ultra-high electromechanical response. The annealing imparts disordered domain orientation as compared to fresh poled ordered domains. The objective of the present work is to understand the effect of annealing temperature on mechanical properties like hardness and toughness and also on the flow of the cracks at a particular indentation load. In view of the above objective Vickers micro indentation experiments are performed on (001) oriented poled PMN-PT single crystal.en_US
