Wind speed is the primary factor in the field of Agriculture, weather forecasting, and other infrastructure-related projects. Furthermore, determining its value requires a specialized device called Anemometer. In this project, a cost-efficient Anemometer has been made affordable even for small-scale workers such as Small Farmer, Small Boat Navigation, Agricultural activities, and Small Laboratories. This project uses the Cup Type Anemometer with a simple Arduino-Based Circuit having Reed Switch Sensor, with minimum accessories to minimize its size and cost. Other types of Anemometers, such as the Hot Wire Anemometer, use Heat Loss to determine the wind speed, but it is costlier than the cup type. The Reed Switch Sensor is an excellent deal for this project, as it does not require high-end programming and has a low cost. It has also been tried to minimize the error by taking various parts' accurate dimensions and orientations. The Pressure Anemometer has been taken as the reference anemometer. The coefficient of determination (R²) between our Cup Anemometer and the Pressure Anemometer is 0.9999, which indicates a strong correlation between the two instruments. This device has been made so that the operation and maintenance remain as simple as possible and open the way for low-cost Anemometer research.en_US
