dc.description.abstract | This chapter introduces the fuel cell history, working principle, various types, and benefits. Selection of solid oxide fuel cell among other fuel cells and the main focus is extended towards the oxygen ion conductors as solid electrolyte material. Literature review has been discussed for the selection of material to execute the proposed research work and various techniques to probe the structural and electronic defects/disorder in the lattice. At last, this chapter concludes with motivation, a statement of problem, and chapter-wise overview of the present thesis. | en_US |
