Fabrication and operation of two electrochromic materials in core-shell form is presented here. Nickel oxide and polyaniline have been used for fabricating their hybrid nanostructures to improve electrochromic behavior. Nickel oxide nanopetals deposited on fluorine doped tin oxide substrate was used as backbone to grow polyaniline using two step methodology consisting of hydrothermal method followed by electro-polymerization method. The hybrid core-shell nanoarrays show improved coloration efficiency, color contrast, switching speed. To measure electrochromic behavior, in-situ UV-Vis spectroscopic technique and cyclic voltammetry have been done.en_US
