dc.description.abstract | This project work aims to synthesize and characterize the two coordinated Cu(I) complexes along with the photophysical studies of the synthesized complexes. According to previous reports, such type of complexes could be useful for various applications like emitters in organic light emitting diodes (OLED), light Emitting Electrochemical Cells (LECs), photosensitizers in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs), biological imaging agents, electron transfer agents in photocatalytic reactions. For this work, I have synthesized the ligands; CNPhBz (L1) and NO2PhBz (L2) and their Cu(I) complexes. Different coordination complexes were obtained from the reaction of both the ligands and SPhos, XPhos, IPrCuCl with Cu(ACN)4PF6/KPF6. All the complexes are soluble in polar solvents. Complexes C1-C8 show emission in acetonitrile while complexes C9-C14 show emission in dichloromethane. All the complexes are characterized by Mass Spectrometry, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR Spectroscopy. | en_US |
