dc.description.abstractA regioselective C-8 arylation of 1-(pyridine-2-yl)quinolin-4(1H)-one using diazonium salt as an aryl source in the presence of palladium acetate as transition metal catalyst, eosin Y as the photocatalyst, under mild condition is described The reaction proceeds in good yields using inexpensive, readily available visible-light sources The use of visible light and photoredox catalysis emerged as a powerful and sustainable tool for organic synthesis, showing the high value of distinctly different ways of bond creation.en_US
