Infrastructural development on soft and marine soil is challenging owing to its time-dependent behaviour. Different ground improvement techniques are used to improve the naturally available soft and marine soil. Among different techniques, Deep Cement Mixing (DCM) is an efficient approach to enhance the engineering characteristics of the ground. Researchers have attempted to investigate the behaviour of the DCM-improved soil and mainly focused on the strength and stiffness characteristics of composite soil. it is noted that not much emphasis has been given to examining the time-dependent consolidation behaviour of DCM-improved clay soil. In this study, efforts are been made to investigate the time- dependent consolidation behaviour of the DCM-improved clay soil and discussed in detail through numerical simulation. Further, the distribution of the creep behaviour of the DCM column and surrounding soil with depth is also discussed in detail. © 2023 selection and editorial matter, Askar Zhussupbekov, Assel Sarsembayeva & Victor N.
