dc.description.abstract | Deep radio measurements have provided new insights into the cosmic evolution of various source populations. With the advent of the Square Kilometer Array (SKA; Jarvis et al., 2015a), the study of the early Universe with radio continuum observations has become a vibrant area of research. This endeavour is further enriched by the involvement of SKA precursors and pathfinders, as evidenced by studies such as those conducted by Gupta (2022); Jarvis et al. (2016); Shimwell et al. (2017). These observations have facilitated the investigation of a broad range of extragalactic source types, including star-forming galaxies (SFGs) and active galactic nuclei (AGN), offering dual benefits: aiding in the identification and quantification of these sources, in addition to enabling comprehensive statistical investigations that provide valuable insights into their intrinsic properties, evolutionary history, and environmental impact, especially through the combination of the multi-wavelength data. Synchrotron emission is the primary process contributing to the radio emission of these extragalactic objects. In AGN, the emission originates from the relativistic jets launched by the central nuclei. | en_US |
