Bio-waste based material reutilization remain one of the biggest challenges to reduce the greenhouse gas emission. Bio-waste based nanofiber materials provide a sustainable pathway to produce high value material that can solve the challenge effectively by providing a route towards better utilization of bio-waste. In this book article a brief overview of different bio-waste based nanomaterials will be provided. All the discussions will be centered around the nanofiber (nanofibril) obtained from bio-waste and nanofiber made from bio-waste material using electrospinning and solution blowing process. A brief overview of electrospinning and solution blowing processes will be provided. Bio-waste materials described in this article will be broadly classified into proteins and polysaccharide. For the sake of brevity discussion will be primarily focused on cellulose, chitin/chitosan for polysaccharide and collagen, silk for proteins respectively. At the end some other bio-waste based nanofiber materials and their applications will be provided. © 2020 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserveden_US
