Technology is growing day by day, and so people are using technology. Today, they have smartphones, tablets, PCs, cloud computing devices, and wireless sensor networks in their pockets. This results in a huge amount of data collection, which requires processing. The term “big data” refers to large-scale production, management, and analysis of information, which exceed the capability of conventional data-processing technologies. According to the Cloud Security Alliance, people today are creating about 2.5 quintillion bytes of data per day. The rate at which data are being created has increased so much that 90% of the total data have been created in the past 2 years alone. This rate of growth in the production of information has created a need for new technologies to analyze and process huge datasets. © 2016 by Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.en_US
