The aim of this manuscript is to explore the geometric properties of stereographic projection and stereographic type projections of a subset of Rn+1 on a unit sphere in Rn+1. In some cases, we examine the existence of the density of the chordal distance. We also illustrate a couple of situations where stereographic type projections preserve the stereographic projection. © 2025 American Mathematical Society.en_US
