Abstract: The increasing demand for high data rates, massive connectivity, and energy-efficient communication in next-generation wireless networks poses significant challenges to conventional infrastructure-based systems. Limitations such as spec-trum scarcity, high interference, and lack of reliable coverage in obstructed or re-mote areas call for innovative and flexible solutions. To address these challenges, emerging technologies such as Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces (IRS), Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA), and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have garnered substantial research interest. This thesis presents a comprehensive performance analysis of IRS-assisted non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) networks, where the intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) is mounted on an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The proposed system investigates how dynamic UAV positioning and varying IRS configurations affect the outage probability of multiple users under realistic wireless channel conditions.
