In this work, two organic dyes ISO–TPA and ISO–FC with D-π-A-π-D configuration were synthesized by using Pd-catalyzed based Sonogashira cross-coupling reaction. In these organic molecules, triphenylamine (TPA) and ferrocene (FC) were employed as electron donating groups (D) and isoindigo as an electron withdrawing group (A). Here, acceptor (isoindigo) is used as a central unit and donor (TPA and FC) as end capping units to enhance the π-conjugation. For these two molecules, electrochemical and photophysical properties were studied to investigate their performance in organic optoelectronic applications.en_US
