Abstract: The further developments of nanotechnology catalyze critical innovations in other fields, especially in biosensing. Further investigation into the anomalous properties of nanomaterials, more specifically nanowires, hastened the advancement of highly sensitive and efficient biosensors. Such nanoscale materials, on account of a structure with an enormously high ratio of surface-to-volume, find high utility to interact with targeted analytes as applied in monitoring real-time events in different settings. © 2026 editorial matter and selection, Shailendra Singh, Balwinder Raj, Arun Kumar Manoharan and Girdhar Gopal
