Abstract: The present work focuses on Oxygen-Oxygen (O-O) collisions planned at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. The oxygen, being a double magic nucleus, offers unique features to examine the effect of the nuclear density profile on the final state charged particles produced in ultra-relativistic collisions. The current study explains the mechanisms underlying particle production in the context of O-O collisions, focusing on variables affecting particle yield from pre-collision to post-collision stages and also providing a glimpse of possible QGP formation in such a collision system at high energies. © 2026 Elsevier Ltd.
