In relativistic heavy-ion collisions, a locally equilibrated quark-gluon plasma (QGP) exhibits fascinating thermoelectric properties. This work presents the first estimate of electric fields induced in QGP medium due to thermoelectric effects in both central and peripheral collisions. A quasiparticle model consistent with the lattice QCD equation of state is used to estimate the induced electric field. Gubser hydrodynamics is used to incorporate the cooling rate profile in evolving medium. We also include quantum corrections via Landau quantization. The induced electric field is found to vanish at the center and grow radially, peaking at (Formula presented) during the early stages of the evolution. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd.
