dc.description.abstract | This chapter starts with the elementary overview of topological insulator (TI), its fundamental properties and applications. Then the classification of TIs and their corresponding crystal structures are described. After that the chapter concentrates on Bismuth Selenide (Bi2Se3), the material of concern in this thesis. This segment comprises of a brief review on choice of material: Bi2Se3, its properties, various types of synthesis process, characterization and evolution as a material with application on diverse departments. Apart from these it covers a specific study on nanomaterials, superconductivity and humidity sensing where utmost attention is given to multifunctional applications of Bismuth Selenide. | en_US |
