Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) is the most prevalent form of dementia. Till date, no cure for AD has been reported. Multiple therapies have been developed to reduce the progression of the disease. The physiopathology of AD starts before the disease appears. This interval thrills intervention for early diagnosis of AD. However, mechanisms that lead to AD are not revealed yet. Hence, analysis of certain predisposing factors needed to explore. These includes assessment of biomarkers through, genetics, cerebrospinal fluid analysis, imaging techniques, and electrophysiological methods. Early diagnosis would allow maximum benefit of the treatment to the affected people and prepare individuals well in advance to prevent this disorder. Further, it would reduce the mortality rates, economic and social burden caused due to AD. Although, the search for new qualified biomarkers and refinements in the health care techniques are urgently needed. Nevertheless, it would prove to be an important indicator of the disorder. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2019.en_US
