This chapter discusses the importance of data format and type. It also presents the need for data processing in IoT and provides a more efficient way of transmission of data in IoT using Enterprise Service Bus. Data conversion between standard formats needs to be focused on particular data type, and this is usually done by different connectors facilitated by an enterprise service bus (ESB). This ESB is potential enough for handling data as well as its associated message that also helps in analyzing the data. The standard data format simplifies the requirements for its transformation and implementation. © 2018 by Taylor and Francis Group, LLC.en_US
