Abstract: This paper proposes the mathematical framework and its validation for Haar Wavelet Transformation (HWT) based lossless image compression. The complete end to end transformation functions, starting from the input image to regenerate the original image without losing any data is proposed. The validation of each function is demonstrated with example. It proofs the capability of reconstructing the original image through the proposed framework. This function can be used to design the hardware for HWT-based lossless image compression. © 2017 IEEE.
