In the present communication, profiling and imaging of red blood cell (RBC) using coherent gradient sensing (CGS) technique coupled with Fourier fringe analysis has been proposed. The RBC of a healthy person has a definite structure; it has been identified using double grating shearing interferometry and the direct phase determined using the Fourier transform method. Good accuracy and resolution in profiling have been achieved. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.en_US
