We report the utility of sub-Nyquist sampled discrete cosine transform (DCT) sensing for the analysis of interferometric data. The interferogram corresponding to the gaseous flame has been recorded and analysed using DCT based compressed sensing (CS) algorithm. CS has been used to exploit image sparseness and allow image to be under sampled without the loss of information. The image has been successfully retrieved by using only 20% data of the original image. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.en_US
