In this paper, a novel circular patch antenna model with added ring structures has been proposed and numerically simulated using CST Microwave Studio Suite. Various progressive stages of the antenna model have been shown with corresponding improvements in response. The final antenna model shows a good simulated response in the X band (10 GHz) and 5G communication band (27 GHz) with a decent gain value ranging from 3.25 to 4.77 dB. © 2021, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.en_US
