The proper management of a vast amount of fly ash generated by various industries is of economic and environmental importance. The current study characterizes six different types of fly ash to understand their potential as a building material. The different types of fly ash were characterized by employing X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and identifying the presence of different compounds. In the end, conclusions were drawn to recommend the potential application area for the different types of fly ash. © 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.en_US
