Abstract: | The molecules were synthesized by attaching 2-ethynyl-pyridine and 3-ethynyl-pyridine groups to a triphenylamine backbone. Relative absorption and emission spectra were studied. We examined the donor ability of triphenylamine when functionalized with 2- ethyny-pyridine and 3-ethynyl-pyridine, it shows bathochromic shift. Further when it is attached to the acceptor it may be potentially used for efficient solar cell. |
