Largesingle crystals of V 0.001 NbSe 2 superconductor were synthesized using chemical vapour transport method. The vortex dynamics of thiscompoundisevaluated in terms of critical current density (J c ) and pinning force density (F p ) characteristics. J c shows a remarkably high value which indicates the presence of collective pinning of vortices. The superconducting transition temperature is suppressed to lower value in V 0.001 NbSe 2 . The normalized pinning force response with reduced magnetic field follows the Dew Hugh's and Kramer's law, indicating the presence of both surface pinning and point pinning centers in this material. © 2019 Author(s).en_US
