On June 21, 2020, an annular solar eclipse oc-curred over the Indian region and the event marks its importance, as a geomagnetically quiet period is observed throughout the day. The vertical total electron content estimates as observed by NavIC and GPS for the Indore region during June 19-23, 2020 have been further analyzed to observe the ionospheric response associated with the annular solar eclipse event. The location of observations is near to the northern crest of Equatorial Ionization Anomaly which aids in understanding the ionospheric response better. The results indicate a significant drop in the value of vertical total electron content during the period which matches the instant of greatest eclipse which is visible from the location of observation. © 2021 IEEE.en_US
