Abstract: Strontium ferrite (SrFeO3) nanopowder have been synthesized by sol-gel method using strontium nitrate[Sr(NO3)2], and ferrous nitrate[Fe(NO3)3] with DI water, ethylene glycol and citric acid in appropriate proportions. Composite of barium titanate and strontium ferrite have also been synthesized by solid state mixing method. The synthesizes sample then subject to characterization like XRD, Raman Spectroscopy, UV-visible spectroscopy, FESEM and Dielectric measurements studies. XRD reveals the phase formed in the synthesized samples. Raman spectroscopy revealed different phonon modes and their frequency which can be directly correlated with the XRD analysis. Direct band gap measurement of barium titanate and synthesized composite sample of about 3.57 eV and 3.33 eV was calculated from UV-Visible data. FESEM data gave appropriate particle size and morphology of the samples. Dielectric measurement at room temperature and temperature dependent dielectric studies revealed quite astounding results.
