Abstract: Lemon and limes are considered as mystical and evergreen magical fruits which attracts the attention of scholars worldwide. Being a juicy fruit, they are widely being used in the preparation of different food products as well as in formulations of medicinal importance. Distinctive feature of lemon juice makes it an important substrate for preparation of lemon meringue pie and lemonade. Lemons and lime are good source of minerals like magnesium, calcium and potassium which are necessary for sustaining health life style. Component specific studies on lemon and lime fruits indicates that they could be used for various health benefiting features further they have no side effects.
