Abstract: Zinc stannate has achieved good attention in the last few years due to its unique properties and appearing as a potential applicant for photoelectrochemical (PEC) water splitting application. Herein, zinc stannate (ZnSnO3) nano-cubes are successfully synthesized using chemical route by precipitation method. The FESEM analysis confinns the synthesis of nano-cubes morphology ZnSnO3 particles. X-ray diffraction study indicates the formation of amorphous ZnSnO, further the optical absorption measurement reveals 3.0 eV bandgap. Photo response of ZnSnO3 is measured in the electrochemical cell by spin-coating to develop photoelectrodes. The spin coated film annealed at 400°C results three times higher photocurrent density as compared to as-deposited film of ZnSnO3 nano-cubes. © 2024 Author(s).
