Abstract: Sustainability has established itself as a strong concept to solve complex interlinked problems faced by the planet and society today. The increased understanding of complex systems opens up new avenues and dimensions. The knowledge of human interactions with the physical world and other living beings, along with self-awareness, presents relatively new ideas with an edge over traditional concepts. This chapter discusses these dimensions of sustainability, their intersections and the possibilities of new knowledge systems for the future co-existence of all. © 2020 John Wiley & Sons Ltd.
