Abstract: | The main objective of this thesis work is to develop one-pot synthetic protocols for elegant access to pharmacologically attractive N-containing fused aza-heterocyclic scaffolds like cyclopropane-fused hydroindol-5-ones, indolizines, and α-carbolines involving simple and modifiable starting materials. The first chapter starts with the general introduction, which explains the synthesis and application of functionalized cyclopropane-fused hydroindol-5-one, indolizine, and α-carboline scaffolds with historical background and synthetic routes reported for the construction of an aforesaid class of aza-heterocyclic compounds via various synthetic modifications. |
