| dc.description.abstract | In this thesis, I have presented the so-called ‘331 model’ which is based on SU(3)C × SU(3)L × U(1)X. Firstly, I have talked about some of the basics that are needed to study the ‘331 model’. Among the basics, I have presented symmetries in a Lagrangian. Then, I also provided an overview of spontaneous symmetry breaking and the Higgs mechanism, from which the gauge boson acquires their masses, which are the carriers of the weak interaction. Then, I delved into the 331 model and why it was introduced, where I also showed the transformation of the fermion fields. Then, I calculated the masses of the gauge bosons that come in this theory. This thesis also contains the Scalar Potential of this model, from which we land upon the 331-EFT, which relates 2HDM parameters to the 331 parameters. And last but not least, special attention has been given to the Yukawa sector for the 331 model, which also reduces to the Yukawa sector of the 2HDM in the 331-EFT case. From where I calculated the FCNC couplings for this model. | en_US |
