Abstract: In this chapter, various methods are discussed to process the pyroelectric ceramics powders, such as solid-oxide route, sol–gel, hydrothermal, coprecipitation, molten salt, and mechanochemical methods. A detailed explanation of each technique and parameter affecting the pyroelectric properties are given. After the powder fabrication, it needs drying and green bodies' formation, which required sintering to improve strength, thermal, and chemical stability. Thus, different sintering techniques applied to ceramic green bodies are pressureless, hot isostatic pressing, hot pressing, spark plasma sintering, microwave sintering, and others. The most popular sintering methods, such as pressureless sintering, spark plasma sintering, and microwave sintering, are elaborated in this chapter, which affects pyroelectric properties. © 2026 Elsevier Ltd.
