Abstract: In the present study, we report the synthesis of red emissive Ag NCs and their utilization for the fabrication of “organic-inorganic hybrid coacervate droplets.” The as-synthesized dihydrolipoic acid (DHLA) capped Ag NCs with 1.73±0.28 nm core size (reported) exhibits an absorption spectrum consist of two narrow peaks at 330 and 425 nm and a weak shoulder at 497 nm, and a PL band positioned at 671 nm. The spontaneous formation of Ag NCs -PDADMAC coacervate droplets in the aqueous medium takes place via the electrostatic interactions between negatively charged Ag NCs and positively charged polymer PDADMAC. The average size of the nanodroplets was 362±26 nm. Thus, the as-synthesized coacervates can serve as a multifunctional hybrid nanodroplet for sensing and bio-imaging applications.
