Abstract: A unified method to implement different shoot through strategies for z-source inverter is proposed in this paper. A space vector pulse width modulation method is used for Z-source inverter. The space vector PWM signals are generated by using only sampled amplitudes of reference phase voltages. Methods of incorporating shoot through signal in a unified way for two shoot through methods namely simple shoot-through and maximum shoot-through are studied. The proposed method is verified with simulation results. © 2012 IEEE.
