Abstract: The current study focusses on the utilisation of stone processing dust (SPD) on the properties of concrete. The stone processing dust was used as a fine aggregate (up to 100%) for reducing the requirement of river sand in the production of concrete. The incorporation of 30% stone processing dust was found to improve the mechanical and durability properties of concrete. The sustainability and economic studies carried out were also found to show the beneficial role of stone processing dust in reducing the embodied energy, embodied carbon and cost of concrete mixes. © 2019 Elsevier Ltd
