dc.description.abstract | This paper focuses on the design and simulation of the hip joint prosthesis to validate the feasibility with Ti-6Al-4 V and TiNbZrTaFe high entropy alloy. The main precondition for the selection of these materials is its compatibility with the human body. Conventional metallic implants create several problems to patients, which include the systematic toxicity of released metallic ions due to corrosion, wear of joint replacement due to movement and fatigue failure of the structural component due to repeated loading. In this paper, a 2D/3D CAD model of an artificial hip joint was designed according to the ISO 7206 using SolidWorks Software program. The finite element (FE) method was used to obtain a solution for the stress and strain distribution throughout a series of the adjacent element. The static design was analysed using SolidWorks Simulation Software with loading condition of 250 N, 350 N and 450 N to check the durability of the design. Static behaviour of these functionally graded biocompatible materials, the properties which affect biocompatibility and mechanical integrity were discussed in detailed. © 2021 Elsevier Ltd.
