As the field of smart material evolves, it is imperative to develop new technologies to use unique properties of Shape memory alloys (SMAs) in more complicated tasks. In today's world where technology leads, it is necessary to look out for the products with greater accuracy, quality and surface finish. For achieving this, proper machine and components are required. In this work, Shape Memory Alloys (SMA) structure is manufactured using MIG welding. These SMA structures will be helpful in damping out vibrations in various machine tool operations which leads to better dimensional accuracy and increases life cycle of the component. Various characterization techniques have been performed for this work. Structural, compositional and morphological techniques have been performed to analyze the structure properly and thoroughly. Further micro structural study is underway. © 2018 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.en_US
