Abstract: | The main purpose of antenna array synthesis is to get the antenna array radiation pattern (AARP) according to the requirement. In this work the main goal is to synthesise the array radiation pattern by reducing the corresponding sidelobe level (SLL). For the purpose genetic algorithm (GA) based optimization technique has been used, with a motive to generate new amplitude values for synthesising the radiation pattern. For optimization purpose in this work a novel cost function has been established in order to get the desired SLL. The newly generated amplitude obtained based on the proposed cost function has been put into the array factor formula in order to get the new array radiation pattern. Through the experiment it has been found that the new formulation of cost function able to reduce the SLL more efficiently compared to other algorithm exists in literature. © 2021 IEEE. |
