Efficient access to 1,5-diketones from N-sulfonyl ketimines and 3- chloropropiophenones

Abstract

A series of 1,5-diketones were synthesized in good to high yields. This C C bond-forming reaction proceeded between 4-alkyl N-sulfonyl ketimines and 3-chloropropiophenones in the presence of Cs2CO3 at heating conditions. Moreover, the current method is simple, has good substrate scope, and excellent tolerance of functionalities.
