Abstract: | In the present investigation, Ta5+ doped 0.94NBT-0.06BT-0.02Zn-xTa (x=0, 0.25, 0.5 and 1) are synthesized using a solid-state route for pyroelectric analysis. The Zn doping in NBT-6BT increases depolarization temperature, while Ta doping enhances the pyroelectric coefficient, which is beneficial for pyroelectric applications. The pyroelectric coefficient at room temperature is found as 1.03×10−4 C.m−2 °C−1, 3.8×10−4 C.m−2 °C−1, 3.53×10−4 C.m−2 °C−1 and 2.79×10−4 C.m−2 °C−1 for NBT-6BT-2Zn, NBT-6BT-2Zn-0.25Ta, NBT-6BT-2Zn-0.5Ta and NBT-6BT-2Zn-1Ta, respectively. The maximum pyroelectric open circuit current/voltage of 25 nA/100 V is reported for NBT-6BT-2Zn-0.25Ta. The NBT-6BT-2Zn-xTa is used for the methylene blue dye degradation for water treatment via pyrocatalysis. © 2024 Elsevier Ltd |
