Abstract: | Modern wireless networks must be put in place to accommodate the fast rising data traffic produced by the growth of mobile applications and their integration into many aspects of everyday life. The most important characteristics to consider while building future communication systems are access to high-speed internet, huge capacity, low signal delay, prolonged battery life, wide coverage, and so on. Open wireless environments are known to be uncontrollable and in this era of increasing demands, programmable radio environments using reflective intelligent surface (RIS) are being explored. To save spectral resources in beyond 5G scenarios, non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) is a technique that is predicted to be applied. Given the nature of wireless propagation, it is expected that the security of data transmitted has a possibility of being compromised by the presence of eavesdropping illegitimate devices. So, it is imperative to explore methods of securing data at the physical layer level. |
