Abstract: Dark matter and neutrinos provide the two most compelling pieces of evidence for new physics beyond the Standard Model of particle physics, but they are often treated as two different sectors. In this thesis, dark matter is coupled to active neutrinos. Interaction of DM with neutrinos is very intriguing because it involves particles which provide the only evidence of new physics beyond the Standard Model (SM) so far. Neutrinos are the best messengers from distant objects revealing a lot of information about various astrophysical phenomena. The purpose of this project is to study the change in the spectrum of neutrino as they travel from source to observer. We want to account for the effect of redshift from freestreaming as well as due to their interaction with particles, for example with dark matter particles, as they travel through very long distances i.e., redshift z 1.
